the proof will be revealed very shortly in FY results.the market already knows about masters and target and the price drop in coal,but what they really want to verify is how well both coles and woolies are going.when you say you save a lot by shopping at aldi,i"d be very interested to see how different the price of essential items stacks up against home brand products,which surprisingly are very good quality for most items.then you have not only the 4c petrol discount,but now you get $5 off at wow ,if you spend a certain amount.another big problem with aldi,is that they are not located in shopping malls,but are "stand alone"which means you would have to be a little bit fanatical in chasing a few questionable discounts.
i wouldn"t take too much notice of germany either,their economy is on the nose at the moment,with not much probable future upside.
