Hi SK,
I have seen wafer diameters of 150-200mm used by prominent folks on this site, so I don't know either where it originated. All I know is that lithography companies such as Intel, Samsung, TMSC cannot even accomodate 200mm wafers anymore. That leaves us with 2 possibilities, either the 200mm dia is incorrect, or there are some application specific litho companies out there that focuses specifically on these type of wafers (GaN).
My current area of interest is EUV photolithography - maybe my path will eventually cross GaN wafers
