Maybe you should include John, Ambrose along with Dalton ..they found the Oil at Surprise ..but not many today would know that. Ambrose used 2D seismics to locate it... I found that very intuitave ..bloody amazing in my opinion! I kept harping on about the need for 3D seismics to them over a few encounters a number of years ago.They told me that the 2D interps were enough and they subsequently struck Oil at Surprise...after all those battles with the drillers.

Just like JH/Ambrose, Dalton was totally committed to CTP and also tight oil expert, he was also a superb negotiator with the land stakeholders at the time... loved Australia and the indigenous people.He was hand selected by JH.

What's happened to Dalton./Ambose. JH has other O&G plays ATM ... I wish him well, but as you know he spent a lot of time and money accumulating the CTP assets over a long time.

But that's my opinion after seeing the other side ..pre RC .. a few years ago.
