nickel appears to be in its seasonal malaise post the northern hemisphere summer. Steel is still sloppy in terms of pricing but the underlying demand is still intact.
And according to the Tex report, the Japs are still running around like headless chooks with the current round of iron ore negatiations.
As to the iron ore talks, the proposition has been raised that RIO will settle early to lock in some long term contracts covering their scaling up, whilst BHP may hang out with CVRD and put the squeeze on-only rumours.
Still like the presentation, particularly from a copper perspective!
As to further nickel mergers, personally I would be looking medium term ,sort of 6-12 months. No need to act in a great hurry, though IGO is looking appetizing given recent exploration results across the board?(And Bonwick is doing a roadshow at the moment!LOL)
