If by phn gallery, you mean collection of images on your phone, you should be able to select one of those images if it is in the right format.

If I were to change my pic, I would first go to the upper right of my screen and select Account-My Profile



Then click update, and you get this screen



Click "delete current avatar" then click "update your avatar"



Then I would select "media picker" and it would allow me to browse through my phone's images. This choice may be different if you have an iphone. It usually shows the most recent image first, so you may want to screenshot your desired photo so it will show up as recent. You can crop it to the desired size in your photos app.
