the context is important. He’s being “loose” but he is speaking conversationally to a stock podcast: all very high level explanatory stuff that is seemingly intended to be a light introduction for those who may not be familiar with the company. I don’t think he is speaking under the assumption that someone like JB1957 is going to deconstruct every word and make a 50 paragraph manifesto about it.
