"Island Sky Australia Limited (ASX Code: ISK), the manufacturer and distributor of unique water-making machines, has received request to conduct further research on a military prototype of its Skywater 300 after a presentation to the Quartermasters Symposium Virginia on June 19.

Island Sky Executive Director Michael Paragon said the prototype of its Skywater 300 machine – built to military specifications in terms of durability and shock resistance – had exceeded the energy requirements of US Army officials.

The Army’s lead researcher on the project said he found the Island Sky design to be “unique and elegant, with very good energy efficiency compared to other designs”.

“We are pleased to advise that Island Sky has been asked to carry out further research on behalf of the US Army as a result of the prototype unit exceeding the energy requirements of US Army officials. We see this as a significant step forward toward the final usage of the water-maker by the US military” Mr Paragon explained.

Mr. Paragon said other recent developments for Island Sky included:

+ Purchase order for five containers of Skywater 14 products to be shipped to the Middle East, fulfilling initial commitments from agreement with distributor SKY-H2O.

+ Two additional Skywater 300 machines sold to distributors in Spain and Venezuela for demonstration purposes.

+ First deposits have been received on Group Sat orders to Egypt

Island Sky has developed unique patented “air to water” making machines which draw water vapour from the air and convert it to drinkable water.

The Skywater-14, for home and office use, can, under optimal conditions, be expected to produce up to 50 litres of water per day at low energy costs. The larger Skywater-300 is capable of producing up to 1100 litres of water per day.
