The transition to increased automation, intelligent LED lighting and the burgeoning Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is driving increased electronics into the industrial and warehousing landscape. Electronic equipment is subject to degradation from heat and the Australian industrial sector provides some extreme thermal operating environments. With an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) vantage point and a unique set of data and insights from a leading IIoT industrial lighting platform, we will examine actual Australian operating conditions and equipment degradation, as well as look at design, control and implementation approaches to mitigate the accelerated ageing effects of heat and system characteristics enabling long term durability.

Mr Redmond has 15+ years of technical, commercial and advisory experience, across the aerospace, automotive, government and NGO sectors including work with Airbus, Boeing, GM Holden, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.
