Correct, MIN are trucking lots of iron ore the types of trucks used now are more efficient, can take a much bigger payload than just 5yrs ago and they are travelling sometimes quite long distances but still turning a profit with iron ore that sells for maybe $80 p/t.
I guess it depends on the volumes of ire intended for that plant (was it 450mtpa?) and whether it works logistically to have trucks in and out, then how many $ is yielded from each ton of ore processed to justify the trucking costs.
