if/when the contract is awarded to the prime (not 3dp) they will invoice the US Gov. and get paid 60-90 days later for milestones in the govt contact. btw - it takes several months to negotiate and close the final contract after award. so basically 6 months to get cash in the bank for the prime. after award - 3dp as a sub-contractor can invoice for any success/milestone payments and ongoing work. generally a large prime can afford to pay while 'at risk' during contracting with govt. - but in reality im will be at least 3-6 months (after the press release) for 3dp to start getting revenue.
