What the Geospatial industry can do to adapt
"There is a space for the Geospatial industry in the LiDAR value chain, even if its diminished by in-sourcing work by some businesses. What these changes to the landscape mean is businesses need to adapt.

Examples of adapting can be drawn from a mobile mapping perspective such as ANZDrive (Land Surveys, Pointerra and Apple) where the entire countries roads were captured in a short window, and data is now available after processing for use over and over.

This example demonstrates how a proactive, mass-scale capture of geospatial data for ongoing use is a way to secure and maintain industry presence for years to come.

More moves such as this could be to integrate telemetric data and other sensor inputs with a geospatially accurate model and press into digital twins territory, There is an opportunity for the geospatial industry to make its mark in this space for those who adapt."
