I appreciate the detailed reminder - it helps to support the investment thesis and reset expectations, and I remain a holder - no doubt just frustrated like everyone after seeing lots of previous claims with very little coming to fruition. I am very happy to have my concerns proven wrong!

I guess one of the reasons why they would be left behind is they simply do not have capital to invest in customer-driven development, more staff or expansion of their current offering. Larger competitors can throw dev teams at solutions. And it isn't unheard of from larger incumbents simply implementing features from startup competitors into their solutions rather then buying them out/competing.
