I was not defending management and I would fully support a salary reduction and reduction to performance options and shares, indeed this is the way I voted at the AGM. My point was talk of a class action is futile as I believe that it would be very unlikely to succeed and even if successful would not led to any compensation (which would be the reason for any such class action - but the lawyers may do alright by picking up some $'s along the way and as such they would recommend and support it).

Over the years in business, investing and personal situations I look at all viable achievable options and pick the best, to lean towards somethings that is unachievable is just deluding yourself and will only lead to further frustration.

Sometimes the best option is a long way from the desired result but if it the best viable option then IMO so be it. Fight the battles that are winnable and learn to accept the rest.
