The AASHTO Journal is the weekly transportation news magazine of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).

For those who may have forgotten, the National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP) was established within AASHTO in 1994.

The NTPEP was established to prevent the duplication of efforts amongst the 52 different US State Departments of Transportation.

In July 2019, EdenCrete and EdenCrete Pz were both certified as complying with the relevant AASHTO standards as per Table 1 of ASTM C494 for a Type S specific performance admixture. This certification of compliance was granted after the completion of a 12 months’ trial by an independent laboratory appointed by the NTPEP.

This certification of compliance has opened the way for Eden to apply to all of the U.S. State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) to have both EdenCrete and EdenCrete Pz added to their Approved Products Lists (APL's) and/or Qualified Products Lists (QPL's).

This will open the way for EdenCrete and EdenCrete Pz to be used in concrete on the State and Federal highways in each State where approval has been obtained.
