If Wallace says he will not intercede on the veracity of the candidates statements, what is the point of having a moderator?
Judging by his performance in the Republican Primary debates, Trumps idea of debating consists of:
* Ducking substantive policy questions.
* Offering vague, hyperbolic promises followed by his trademark "Believe me folks".
* Mud-slinging.
* Name calling.
* Bullying and shouting down his opponents.
The fact that Wallace is a close associate of Roger Ailes, a significant player in the Trump campaign, seems to be a conflict of interest.
