My understanding is that the are waiting for the surface pressure to drop to zero before they install a pump. Everyone with a basic knowledge of physics will realise that this will be asymptomatic and take an age - which is what it is doing. I keep asking myself - why dont they buy a borehole pump, insert it down about 100 metres and turn a years long exercise into one which they can do in days. I put in a borehole pump on my farm a few years ago. The pump cost about $6000, say another $6000 for a diesel generator. With the inevitable stuffing around they should be able to do it for less than $20k
