This seems to be an interesting link about the antics of the US press.

When I read it I found it hard to see much difference between the shortcomings of the US Press and that of our own out-of-control 24 hour news/entertainment/media complex driving their own election agenda here in Australia....

I guess our media could be just taking the lead from the US media and copycatting their methods and tactics as fast as they can.
