The Miriori statement is self-serving drivel. The bloke is rarely sighted in Panguna (fact) and he conveniently ignores what the president actually said ie there was a "narrow divide" between those supporting and those opposing BCL (incidentally didn't say which way the divide was) and significant he said any other developer would be "untenable". To claim that as some type of victory is laughable.
The reality is, nowhere in President Momis' statement did he say the BCL exploration licence has expired or its application for renewal was rejected. (Did I miss something??)
