Yes it was sneaky - its not as though they didn't have time to organize an EGM. I don't think its a good idea for them to hold onto the shares but they are supposed to act in the interests of all shareholders and extract the best deal they can out of SEV. This could take the form of commitments to ENG businesses going forward. Though they've indicated this they haven't given much detail and are taking for granted that other shareholders are happy to be treated as a SEV subsidiary.

Oh well was to be expected I guess.
