Pete needs a win and he needs it badly.

He is actually under a great deal of pressure.
Lot of potential built into the SP.
He is vastly overpaid and is under delivering.
The analysts are hard taskmasters.
They wont put their hard earned money on the line (like some people do) without demanding answers.
He will have to face the gruelling Q & A session at the May 5th AGM & again at the Investor briefing day on May 23rd.
This is serious stuff and people want answers.
They state a 35% WI on FAN South 1 & SNE but in reality they don't yet own these assets.

The analysts are getting twitchy.
Pete must be sweating bullets.
He has to do something.
In fact he has to pull a bloody big rabbit out of his hat and preferably before May 5.


Woodside is down 1.5pc and while it affirmed 2017 production guidance, analysts were disappointed with 1Q results.
Woodside’s 1Q production missed estimates due to cyclones and analysts expect this to be recouped.
But RBC said WPL’s 21.4 mmboe production was 5pc below its expectation due to cyclones.
Sales revenue of $894m was 10pc below its estimate due to underlift at Pluto, which it expects will be made up in coming quarters.
But Macquarie warns that “step-change in production growth from the Burrup Hub remains long-dated and the risk associated with negotiating a deal with partners at both projects remains high”.
“While not impossible, we believe too much potential has been built in to the current share price appreciation and stalling on negotiations will have negative downside.”

The analysts are more positive on Santos and Oil Search.
