Except that WPL mentioned they paid 2.20 a barrel for 196 million barrels. If they just mentioned 430 million for the company that would have been fine. They should not have given the breakdown per barrel if they were going to do that tactic.
As that breakdown was in their initial release, I suspect they changed strategy when they found Far wanted to PE. Hard to put that genie in the bottle once it's let out.
