You're not alone. Another graph from the same source today shows that most Australian SMSF super funds are invested here, 71%, with just 1% overseas.
The author makes the very good point that in the light of the falling $A, that 1% have done vastly better than the rest. He has been pushing the 'invest in the $US' barrow for a few months.
Its a fact that the Australian market consistently trails the Dow S+P.
Yes, a lot of money is invested in derivatives, but that is dwarfed by investments in the major companies.
