I am fairly certain what has been publicly disseminated thus far is the company will be performing research and development of pressure tank manufacturing at the new location.
It could be argued that they are further along than may be indicated having done the R &D back in Australia for a lengthy period of time.
We just don’t know to what degree of what work has been completed.
Let’s assume they’ve got the build process somewhat down. I say somewhat because as you will see in the Gemini AI response to a question I posed, there is a fair amount validation and calibration in the build process itself.
Not knowing what is involved with the tank testing has me wondering what kind of hardware infrastructure coupled with redundancy of same will be required if that testing is performed on site and at what overhead cost?
Where as Northrup’s new facility is .8 miles away, it could be that Northrup is performing those qualifications? If so, it would seem that this would knock down the value of the revenue from the finished product by Titomc.
Having said that, one could argue that based upon what these tanks will be utilized for, Northrup would WANT that validation/verification process.
