We don't think long-term. We demand instant gratification. Listen to any politician - that's what they preach - day in, day out.

Consider the current threat to Health Research (long term benefits) - soft target for Gillard, and she can transfer the savings to spend on baubles and bangles etc - and we'll luv 'er.
