From what I have read I reckon Price is on the straight and narrow. He seems to have a good track record of getting things done and has excellent experience in the industry. Personally I intend to support him and expect that he can turn it around. I do not sense any hidden agendas.

If he does, both PPX and PXU holders will benefit but they likely will have to wait a while for divs. I for one am prepared to be patient.

    >One question I pose - if PPX is so cheap, why doesn't he find a private equity backer to bid for it himself?

Perhaps but he appears to have a few backers who have bought in and who supported his EGM bid. If the likes of Orbis support him he can get his chairman role and he has skin in the game. I would rather support him than some greedy PE firm who wants the lot for a pittance. At least this way ordinary shareholders can share the gains with him if they back him and help put him in the Chairman's seat.
