Thanks for clarification and extract from June Quarterly ... greatly appreciated.

I am of the opinion that these smaller diamonds (albeit at record discover levels and with the exception of the 94 carat one), will simply not provide as much inflow of funds (revenue) as the larger 100 carat plus diamonds were providing.

The larger diamonds are worth more per carat as:
a) there are less of them available (rarer), and;
b) the final resulting "cut" diamond can sell for (exponentially) more.

My opinion only, but appreciate additional information which obviously provides all readers with information that can help them make decisions.
