that theory might have a chance of making sense if the large orders going through the tape were buying orders.
the whole point here is that the vast majority of volume trades over the last couple of months have been sell orders.
lets take todays example ....
896,990 was bid at .034c today just prior to 3.23pm (as per ozgems post regarding the motivated seller)
at 3.23pm our motivated seller took this bid in one bite and wiped the .034c line from the market depth.
now unless this trade was a short sale (which I'm pretty sure it wasn't since there has been no shot selling activity for quite some time now...) how is anyone making a quick profit from this game of selling large volumes into the bid ?
as far as the bots go I can understand how they might be trying to activate trading stops in the market during the day but an eod bot trade makes no sense since it's clear from the market depth we will open tomorrow morning with a .033-.034 spread.
I wish someone who knows how the bots operate could shed some light here.
