Apologies for being ignorant but can someone link me to resources or explain how the overlapping orders work.
How do they determine order of priority?
For example one sell order for 50 cents for 10k shares.
Two buy orders with price limits. One for 60 cents for 10k shares and one for 51 cents for 10k shares.
Does the buy order for 60 cents get the shares for 50 cents or does the buy order for 51 cents get the shares for 50 cents.
What determines the order of fulfilling buy orders? Is it who put the order in first?
Hope that makes sense!
