Yeah the tax rules are always murky, capital vs on revenue account, intentions when bought etc... the rules in NZ aren't exactly clear... it all comes down to whether your deemed a trader....
If the sale is deemed under revenue account, no tax is payable... as far as I can read the legislation and determinations...

We'd love to have you all from the "West Islands" back over here... but that damn COVID keeps popping up.

As for conviction.. I have been astounded by the rise of HZR over the last couple of weeks. I too have been a holder since 2016.... Those gaps though below have me thinking of opportunities of re-buying back in and increasing my holdings... but don't want to get too greedy... the alternative being to invest elsewhere to diversify....
