    The water "cycle" in question here is magnitudes faster than the carbon cycle*. CO2 is incredibly long lived, in that the feedback loops of diatoms, corals (not to mention the Carboniferous Era) etc locking it away is stupendously slow compared to the weather/cloud formation water cycle.
    *Which "carbon cycle" are you thinking of? Carbon itself is so ubiquitous that unless you outline what you are saying, you are just spouting unscientific rhetoric. Flipping buzzwords with no understanding.

    Atmospheric water vapour content is temperature dependent, not the other way around. Also, the % of water on the globe makes the "water controls the temperature" argument ridiculous. It vapourises from the ocean in areas where the temperature allows it.

    On the investment front, I do agree with you that HZR need to make a concerted push to the gas giants, though maybe they have tried and they need to prove scale. Once they have done that maybe the gas lads will get on board to save their industry, though even that may not happen while there is no incentive to clean up their act being imposed.
