    Early days of course, but he said Hazer was beginning to envision reactors up to 2m wide and 11m tall, and matching SMR economics (possibly without CCS even included).

    By that stage, he said, they should be able to afford to throw the graphite away, but of course it would also represent 100% profit.

    With Hazer, the process itself is extremely clean, something like 18g of CO2 per kg of H2 produced from natural gas - i.e. they could offset 5 million tonnes of their own turquoise production using CDP abatement credits alone.
    Now we need to see the gas industry clamp down on fugitive emissions in a meaningful way.

    BTW, the Australian H2 Strategy estimated a best case of 1kg CO2 emissions per kg of blue H2, but in light of the Stanford/Cornell report that's surely looking very shaky. The wheels are falling off.
