The elections are coming soon and some pretty turbulent times ahead economically, i.e. both mining and property are running out of juice. Hence you get politicians talking about mass immigration and becoming a global hydrogen superpower somewhere in the distant future. While I keep my fingers crossed that hydrogen will gain more traction and that Australia will become BIG in hydrogen, right now it just sounds like slimy political talk and a desperate attempt to distract public attention from more urgent concerns.
