Yes, pending the CDP outcome, it’s destined to be in that group, and quite probably at the top. There is no more efficient way than TCMD (Hazer’s technique) to crack hydrogen from a molecule. It completely eclipses electrolysis, while the previously close competitor Blue H2 is increasingly hamstrung by CCS woes.

Among its pyrolysis peer group, Hazer stands out for its lower-temperature operation and ability to make various shades of graphite, as opposed to only e.g. carbon black or soot. This provides multiple avenues for revenue development that competitors simply won’t have.

International media groups have a two-minute attention span. They aren’t interested in anything but the lowest-hanging fruit - i.e. the companies and organisations that should loudest. This isn’t something Hazer has ever done, and probably won’t do until the process is proven at scale. (They must have had some reason to hire one of Australia’s biggest PR agencies, however, also part of an international network.)

PS, I came across an in-depth feature in a serious UK newspaper last week that completely overlooked turquoise hydrogen and read like a paid ad for electrolysis. That’s the quality of journalistic insight we’re dealing with all the time. It’s better to view Hazer in terms of the thorough due diligence carried out by ARENA and others.
