I doubled my EVN stake today, selling PRU to fund the transaction. PRU has run very nicely. EVN has been smashed. I can see no good reason for EVN's poor performance. I have confidence that the Red Lake transaction will be shown to be very profitable over a 3-5 year time period. Current operations are all performing pretty well. At the current gold price, EVN will be able to pay down the loan to acquire Red Lake in about 3 years, well ahead of their published schedule. It also seems to me that whatever La Manche is doing, selling shares to fund call spreads, it can only have a positive effect on the EVN share price when the calls are exercised.
