Very happy with how EVN held up today!
EVN and NST continue in their head to head battle for 2nd in market cap position in Aus.
Made a few bucks in NST and sold out after the Pogo purchase but should have held – hindsight!
Made a few bucks in EVN and learnt a lesson and didn't sell out after the Red Lake purchase yet it has mirrored what happened with Pogo – market sentiment wise.
I believe you need to be patient with Red Lake. Jake and the team will undoubtedly extend LOM there through their exploration skills. It will take some time though. I'm 52 so it works for me. Cowal isn't over either
EVN flattened out after the Red Lake announcement but has since closed the gap.
Both EVN and NST have been great investments – see chart below.
I believe that if gold holds within a range of $1600US to $2000US we're fine. Only a few years back Jake stated that he was happy with $1250US an oz.
In six months we will also see how oil prices are helping our bottomline.
We only need one thing, gold price to hold and reports will speak!
