    Some this week may have triggered stop losses or considered protecting capital which should be part of everyone's strategy

    @redned71 had a recent post about not letting tax implications get in the way of your strategy ..... which I agree with but I look at it slightly different in that if I am long on a holding and there is a bit of volatility (did I say a bit ..... it was a lot !) there is a breakeven re-entry point that is to be considered ..... ie if I am still long I need to be certain that the price can get as low as this re-entry price

    In my case (and I have been here since day 1) holdings are 57% > 12 months and 43% < 12 months ..... my average is < 10 cents so (at that stop loss level) I would need to be confident that the share price would fall down to between 0.50 - 0.68 (to cover the CGT) in the tables below

    For most the top table is probably more relevant
