Really, you fail to see how the value of the one and only resource a company is preparing to mine out of the ground has any bearing on the price of its share today and in the future? Regardless how far off exports are, IO price has direct and clear correlation to all Iron Ore miners SP (including prospective miners). Banks and large investors care a lot about the correlation as it's the future commodity they may (or may not) be willing to invest in. This is why many of us here care about the current, and future trajectory, of the price of Iron Ore. It's not rocket science.
