Another flat day, so who is not wondering what the reality of it all is wrt this project. As mentioned above the Leigh Creek oil-gas prospect is still not fully recognized for what it really is a "unique" geological thing.. A simple integration calculation of the 1949 geophysical survey appears to indicate that there is 10 Billion tonnes of oil shale (~5B cubic meters) here and even at the lower estimate in the 1890's of 30% by volume of carbonaceous matter it's a hell of a lot of potential oli and gas that could be got in addition to that from just the 15m thick main series coal seam gasification. A collapsed volcano (caldera) 800 to 1000m deep fits the model way better than a remnant fold mountain Syncline IMHO. BTW from the formation of the Flinders Ra finisihing at 490Ma to the Jurassic time when this coal and shale was deposited there is 250Ma in which a lot has happened we don't have a record of in the rocks that remain. Sale bar in the figure below is 1000 - 0 - 3000 feet, 1.22 kms all up.
