The best way to analyse such circumstances is to first develop a rapport with management and maintain it. That way you can ring, ask questions and within reason quantify the situation.
I do this regularly and this is one of the reasons why I continue to hold. All risk is mine but I do my best to manage that risk.
This is why I keep harping back to the disparity between prior and current JORC estimates. Either one person is wrong or both are wrong. It would seem that both cannot be right. One thing that is right is the market reaction - sadly my response mechanism was not fast enough to counter the market downgrade - something I have to review and adjust.
