While VEN's future output for some years is contracted at a price that apparently does not exceed the Federal Government's price capping mandate, it seems to me that the (perception) by potential investors is negative towards buying into new Australian gas explorers. How else could could you explain the subdued share price on a company that is on the verge of producing and supplying gas into the network? The world is hungry for gas, everyone wants it, VEN is about to supply it. This is what happens when governments interfere with free markets. Hopefully we will see at least a rise in share price when VEN transitions to being a producer.
