I agree, new technology will take at least a few years to prove itself and get adopted. Meanwhile the
car makers and electronics guys have to make decisions and plan production for one, two or three years out or even more; and contracts for grid storage are being signed, which must use existing proven technology. That means Li-NCM, Li-NCAl, vanadium redox, and maybe a little zinc or ferro-chemistry like at BYD.

Cobalt demand will continue to go straight up for the foreseeable future...I see no reason to expect otherwise for three or four years.
