re: price drop - expect volatility! Wake up, shorting is having little to do with the fall in price. Its called selling on spud, it happens with most oil/gas stocks, the effects are more accentuated in smaller companies like HDR. The institutions have beaten you to it, taking profits now and eliminating risk - a little earlier than usual though, with spud a matter of days away? but they probably had to start reducing positions early to offload large amount of stock without smashing price down. There will be a recovery once this process is over - but how far? the stock has run a long way on expectation already.
