Actually, it was NICTA r&d from where Adrian Turner started Audinate in '06.
NICTA merged with CSIRO in 2015 to make Data61.
Regardless, you're still on the money - Audinate have had their feet firmly planted in the ground for quite some time now, and easily a fair bit more time to come.
One could make a fair assumption that Yamaha Corp wouldn't have opened their cheque books if Dante tech was all huff and no puff ; 'Hugo Weaving' its way through their product line.
Or maybe G650er is onto something new we have yet to hear about.
Possibly tin cans on a string?
