You haven't read the fine print. What the f does:

"This is a non-exhaustive catalog of products by pro audio and video manufacturers that are Dante-enabled. These include products with Dante built-in, Dante interface cards and the products that can be Dante-enabled via option cards."

You don't know which products actually use them. All this says is that it is compatible. So misleading.

This link is the nail in the coffin for those who don't understand the technology. It actually specifically mentions Dante and is somewhat balanced.

"As of this writing, Audinate’s Dante™ enjoys the most widespread use. This can (and probably will) change with time, and competing formats such as Audio Video Bridging (AVB) (now referred to as Time Sensitive Networking (TSN)), will emerge as alternatives. AES67 is an initiative to produce inter-operability between the various AoE formats, so it may eventually be possible intermix AoE formats."

In other words, once it's standardised it's over. They also elude to this in the prospectus as a risk.

What you guys don't understand is that AD8 does not have a sustainable model, let alone anything NEAR a dominant position. The crux is not ethernet or Audio Network or Computer Network!! Once you have converted sound from analog-to-digital, you can do anything you want. Heck, put it on WIFI if there is no latency.
