firms will actively sell a stock to depres the sp if they are looking to take a major position or even take over the company for a client... its done so the purchasing party pays a low entry figure, and even if they lose money selling the stock, they gain a position at a cheaper overall price...
but no one has taken a position in lynas... it would be disclosed to the market..
time will tell if anyone is looking to take the company over, but I doubt its about to happen anytime soon... maybe when lynas is up an running smoothly a suitor may be interested...
lots of tangible reasons why the sp is struggling... manipulation is a bit far fetched...
