I also have never shorted a stock and FWIW i am against the practise.
Having said that i dont think you have to have a sinister motive to consider that the CDU SP may fall upon relisting regardless of the announcement and given current market circumstances.
No doubt some short term holders or distressed shareholders will bail at the 1st chance regardless of what is announced. Others will short the stock.

What is important to me is that the company continues down its chosen path.
I take a long view on CDU. Current angst about fluctuations in price of copper seem silly to me. Cuurent price does not reflect suppy demand dynamics going forward it simply reflects fear in the markets and an unwinding of speculative money and has occurred over all commodities.
Its a severe correction but what will the price be in 1yr,5 yrs or 10 yrs ?? Far more relevant imo
