    For some reason, gold stocks are immune to the sort of analysis that you are applying to them on this forum.

    Sure, you can apply your reasoning to ETFs, or fiat currency; but not to gold stocks. For some particular reason - that I am not yet aware of - gold stocks fit into another category of analysis.
