Executive directors normally only have 1 executive position (and are well rewarded for it). I think with JW moving to an executive role, its a fair question to ask if he's an exec still also at Equatorial Resources. The same goes for Mitchell.

NED's as sandfire has mentioned are paid much much less as they have no day to day input into the running of the business, they are there to provide independent input into the overall decision making of the directors. Having only Plowright as the only NED is a poor position for the board to be in from a corporate governance POV.

Note that the board is now made up of JW, Mitchell and Plowright and they disbanded the remuneration committee when they reduced down to 3 (which at that time was Rob - exec, JW - NED and Plowright - NED). The annual report states that the board collectively decide on salaries, so essentially with a 2:1 majority, JW and Mitchell could name their price.
