For those who want some media based entertainment showing the power of 'bad' media may I suggest viewing 'Tomorrow never dies' a perfect example of manipulation and brain washing - poor Mr. Bond was reading about his own obituary - but hang on, just think on that a moment.
Examples of media manipulation and altering real news has become the norm. Fear mongering portrayed by the media certainly has the power to ensure mass panic and in the case of IO happenings, just in a short few days/weeks, managed to wipe out just a few pennies (just a few), from retail holder accounts (some super fund balances ??) as shares held show paper losses. Be fearful - yes siree, onto it and by George the bandwagon rolls on.
Mr. Bond didn't die, the obituary a stroke of genius from a mad man but a 'false positive' - can Mr. Bond ever be allowed to die - well, the actors yes, Roger Moore - but the character - soon to appear in the newest blockbuster coming soon is still alive and kicking and still awaiting the obituary.
Perhaps FEX will succumb to bad media and falling prices - though one would think at company level management is not overly concerned after proactively hedging - in the absence of 'real bad' news from the company - should we be??? FEX product is high grade and ultimately irrespective of pricing pressures will find good homes where quality matters. Additionally FEX has a debt free quality balance sheet and money coming with every ship load.
Heading for the exits by so many does create an opportunity for those with a different perhaps contrarian mindset - a mindset well worth considering in other current and future life matters. AIMHO
