"At what level do Fe, Al and Mn become a problem. All these occur in most soils and often in compound fertilizers. Are the levels of these elements so high MAK have to remove them? If so the cost will be massive!"

    RIO TINTO says

Preliminary beneficiation test work on ten core samples indicates
that crushing, washing and selective screening improves P(2)O(5) head
grade while decreasing A1(2)O(3) + Fe(2)O(3) content, however much
more test work is required. These and other key parameters including
CaO, F, C0(3) and trace element contents are also favourable and show
potential for the production of an acceptable fertiliser product.

the current estimated capex as i understand it is for as Rio tinto test work above, flotation etc would be additional.

If capex is low and opex is 125 AU$/t and the aussie $ is 80 US cents then breakeven would be aprox 110 US/tonne.

Mak would make as much money as PMM and MCC do per tonne ( 35 - 45 AU$/t) at a RP price of 135US/t. Current price 450 US/t, so RP can loose 2/3 of its value and we would still have a very profitable mining operation.

the above has a lot of assumptions but MAk could be a great story. dyor .
